Argumentative Essay Topics on Consumerism Are Politically SaneWhy are some Argumentative Essay topics on Consumerism so controversial? Is it because the topics are so off topic? Should one be objective in their argumentation? Well, let's talk about it.
First, I do not believe that there is a free market in the US, nor is there ever going to be. The problem is that there is a poor minority of entrepreneurs who create products and services for sale and give it away for free. Next, the poor majority can never get access to these products and services. They can only receive it, a very small amount of time, if they pay a fee. As the author of this essay states: How many poor minority or working class people do you know who actually had a very good life until they could no longer afford it? The poor mostly live below the poverty line, thus they have no money to buy the things they need. Their basic needs, such as shelter, food, clothing, etc. must be supplied to them before they can achieve the success that allows them to become able to buy all the things they want. So, it is a fact that consumers need and use a certain product in order to be able to satisfy their basic needs. Now, to illustrate this, just think of what it would be like if all the billionaires in the world were to be put in jail for crimes they had committed in order to get their way with the price of living in the US. What would the result be? Would we have a less hungry and impoverished populace, or would we all become hungry and impoverished? In addition, we can argue a bit in favor of why some Argumentative Essay topics on Consumerism are actually political. Remember the Great Depression, the death of millions of people, and many people being pushed into misery for a reason. The things they needed to survive, or to be able to buy the things they wanted, were not available. Of course, the US has done much to correct itself from the Great Depression. We've rebuilt our economy and we're now in a position where almost any person in the country is capable of obtaining what they need. If one were to be argumentative in an essay about how a person should be able to buy whatever he wants, then surely this would be a political essay? Indeed, I hope you will please consider all this and think on it, since it is the students job to take these critical examination. It is the duty of the teacher to examine the students to see if they are willing to engage in argumentative writing, or if they are simply unwilling to write. Please consider all this.
